Hello everyone,

Well it certainly has turned a lot colder and wetter, so we will have to start dressing up for it now.

I have been busy making various Christmas cards, using various dies, toppers and papers mainly Papermania collections.  I have just dropped them off at my local St. Oswald's Hospice shop this morning together with a gorgeous selection of cards which my special friend sent over from Holland, the lady in the shop was very pleased with them all.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Best Wishes, Jackie x

Hello Everyone,

Here are a few of my latest cards that I have been working on.

The first one is using the new Memory Box square floral die, where I cut out four of them and then mounted side by side on a 6x6 card blank, using Bellissimo background paper and then finishing off with die-cut butterflies and Papermania sentiment.

The second two cards are made using Craftwork Cards Refresher collection.  The die-cut messages and the matching papers are very pretty .  The bow die-cut was made from a Cheery Lynn die finished off with butterflies once again and the corner die was also a Cheery Lynn Design die.

The last card was made using Memory Box Wild Flower corner die, which is very pretty and has a lot of detail.  I mounted the two corners onto an embossed 6x6 card blank, then cut out another corner and snipped pieces off it to go in the two remaining corners, and then finished off with clear self-adhesive gems, and sentiment.  Since making this one I have also tried it out in different colours.

Good Afternoon,

The sun is shining here but is a little blustery at times.

For this month I have put on my new designs using the new Docrafts Botanical range.  I ordered the A5 paper stack and was pleasantly surprised to see all the pretty papers, so I fell in love with it as soon as I started making these cards.  I got rather carried away and have made quite a few!  Some of these will be going to St. Oswalds Hospice charity shop.

All cards are 6x6 with various ribbons and dies, mainly Spellbinders ovals and rectangles, also Cheery Lynn corners and Asian Accents dies.  The butterflies are 3D stickers from Yorkshire Trading shop, I thought the stickers matched perfectly as soon as I saw them.

Hello Everyone,

For this month I have been doing a lot of die cutting.

This first card was made with Eau de Nil background papers, with Sizzix This and That Graceful dies, where you get four lovely dies in the pack.  This is the first time that I have used Sizzix dies, so I was very pleased with the outcome.  The butterfly in the middle is the X-cut dimensional punch where I finished it off with a pearl and smaller ones on the corners of the die cuts.

The second die is Spellbinders Fantastic Flourish Three , which I  assembled to make a nice shape rather than using it as a corner die which it is.  In the middle I used a scallop circle die and then placed Spellbinders Asian accent die on top of that.  The butterfly to finish is Memory Box Isabella and Pippi die.  This was all mounted on a piece of Capsule Collection paper from old stash.

The last two monochrome cards are made using Spellbinders Floral oval die and Marianne Design Charleston Lady die.  I love the cameo effect and this would look nice in different colourways which I have yet to try.

Hello Followers,

It is a rather damp, grey and cool day here in Morpeth, at the beginning of the week it was lovely and warm.
I am a little late in doing this months blog, being that I had been away in Kent, seeing my family and Mum who is waiting for a hip replacement operation.

These are a few of my latest cards, which have just gone to St. Oswald's Hospice shop earlier this week.  This Marianne Design french cat die is a favourite of mine, it can be used in so many ways.  I have made a white and black cat version, mounting it onto various background papers.  I also added on small collars and tiny gems for their eyes.

The following cards were made  with x-cut bloom nesting dies, where I cut out the large bloom on some floral card and then mounted it onto pink paper, adding purple underneath it to bring out the shape of the bloom.  I then added part of a circular die and mounted on the sentiment, then added gems to finish.  The second card was using the bloom which was cut out from the first card, mounted onto striped paper and a scallop circle then a round sentiment added, and then gems.

The last set of cards were made using the Spellbinders Asian accents border die, which I love using, mounted onto the bloom die and then I used a Catalina Wreath die from Memory box, where I added blue gems and a sentiment in the middle of the wreath.  The background paper was from DCWV floral collection.  The second card in pink was made using the same border and pink die cut bloom with a Memory Box circle floral die, which I bought already cut out.  The background was done with a daisy embossing folder to make it a little more interesting.

Hello Everyone,

Happy Easter to you all!

Here are a group of Easter cards that I have made for my daughter, I love the spring chicks and bunnies, the colours are very cheerful too.  All we need now is some better weather.

The next picture is of some of the cards which I will be taking into the St. Oswald's Hospice shop this week.  I like to put together a nice variety, and have really enjoyed using my new Marianne Design dies, which a special friend of mine in Holland has inspired me to have a go with.  I particularly love the little cats die, the shape of them is really good.

Hello everyone,

For this month I have been working on some Blue Parisenne butterfly cards, the 6x6 paper stack from Do-crafts is lovely in different tones of blue and cream, and a lot of different designs.  These cards have gone to St. Oswald's Hospice charity shop.

The group of Gorjuss cards is also for the charity shop.  These designs were from the first range.  A  new range of the Gorjuss girls has just been released at the beginning of the month  which is just as lovely.  I have bought some of the new range and look forward to using it.

Hello Everyone,

I have been having a clear out and came across numerous Birthday cards which I had kept in a drawer for a few years, always reluctant to put in the bin, as they give me a lot of inspiration.

On this occasion I thought there were rather a lot, and had a good look at them, picking out the ones which I thought that I could make a few cards with, together with the help of my Cuttlebug and dies.  So here are a few that I have made using various papers. I found that the Lili of the Valley papers were particularly good, and seemed to match quiet well.

My Cheery Lynn mini angel wings die was a great success, adding a nice finishing touch to the cards.

Happy New Year!

To start the New Year I thought I would have a go at making some cards using doilies, as they seem to work really well either on their own or with a topper.  The first two cards that I have made are using Dovecraft Tea Party doilies which I have mounted behind Lily of the Valley fairy toppers.  The background papers are also from Dovecraft Back to Basics 3, which have gone really well with the colours within the toppers.  I also got out my Cuttlebug and cut out two small flourish dies to make it a little more interesting. To finish the cards off I then used small flowers and gems and then a sentiment.

The last card is off another fancy doily which came from Ebay, I mounted this onto some KC designer paper and put a piece of organza ribbon behind it.  I then finished it off with a sentiment in the middle and a self-adhesive pearl in each corner of the card.  All cards were made using a 6x6 card blanks, this being the first time that I have made a card of this size.
