Hello Everyone,

For November/December I have been busy making my Christmas cards for St. Oswald's Hospice shop.

I searched my craft cupboard and found some of the older collections which came from Papermania.

Here are a few cards that I have made:-
Forever Friends Kraft Notes,
Me to You Winter Wonderland
and Tilly Daydream.

There is also a picture of some cards using an old collection of papers and toppers by Trimcraft called Fizzy Moon which came out in 2011, luckily I still had some papers and toppers left from a 12x12 paper stack.

Many thanks for looking and hope that you have a very Happy Crafting Christmas.

Hello Everyone,

At the moment I am busy making 30 Christmas cards for my daughter, using the Hunkydory Little Book of Arctic Animals.

The first three cards below were made in August for St Oswald's Hospice charity shop, and the final photograph shows a few of the cards that I have made so far for my daughter.

Thanks for looking, Jackie x

Hello Everyone,

Sadly the little hedgehog that we rescued did not survive, so that was very sad, at least we feel happy for knowing that we did the best that we could with the help of the Hedgehog rescue centre.

I have been making up more hedgehog cards for the rescue centre's next fundraising stall, and have also put together a box of bits and pieces that the rescue centre is always in need of, i.e. meat based cat biscuits, disinfectant, etc.

My first selection of cards below were made using Papermania Woodland Folk papers and toppers - this collection came out a few years ago, I had some left in a drawer, so I thought I would put it to good use.

The second  and third picture of hedgehog cards were made using gorgeous stamped Penny Black images kindly donated to me by two lovely ladies from the Docrafts gallery.  Thank you Ladies these have come in very useful!

Hello Everyone,

Something a little bit different for this month.

This is a little 8 week old hoglet which we found in the middle of the road on our nearby estate during the afternoon.  He was being attacked by a crow, so we picked him up and took him home, where he spent the night with us.

The following day we took him to our local Northumbria Hedgehog Rescue Centre in Longframlington.  Hopefully he will recover and we will be able to bring him home and let him loose in our garden which is frequented by other hedgehogs.

The Rescue Centre is an unfunded charity run entirely by volunteers, so I thought I would make some hedgehog cards for them to sell.  The first two pictures are of our little hedgehog.

The third picture is of the hedgehog themed cards for the centre, using Papermania Hawthorn and Bramble toppers and papers, which are from a very old stash.

Hello Everyone,

Here are some of my new makes for this month, which I took to the St. Oswald's Hospice shop on Thursday morning.

The first four cards are from The Paper Boutique Lavender Lane paper kit and embellishment pad.  The papers are very pretty and so are all of the toppers.  The first card shown is a z-fold card, I love doing these!  On the third card I have used a lovely frame die which came from China, which goes really well with the toppers which I die cut to size.  I finished off the cards using pearls and Glitz glitter glue, which does not show up in the photos.

My last two cards were made using Panda images which I recycled from this years calendar.  There are plenty of adorable images to choose from, instead of them going to waste, I thought why not use them to make a few cards.  The background papers came from a mini floral pad which I bought at The Works, which I used to form a patchwork effect, which has turned out really well, the first time that I have done a card using this design.

Many thanks for looking, hope that you are all having a lovely summer!

Hello Everyone,

Here a few of my new cards for May/June.

The first round card was made using a doily die from China, where I used the outer die in the set to make the actual base card, then cut it out again in the coloured paper, then I added the rest of the doily die set and then finished off with a small floral topper which I have had for a long time.

The second card was made using a Tattered Lace floating square die.  The image inside the lacy square is from Hunkydory.

The third and fourth cards are also made using Tattered Lace dies, the circle one is called Venise and the square one is the Espri.. The background papers are from Hobby House together with the toppers.

The last two cards are again using a square lacy frame die from china finished off with some toppers and papers from a Paper Boutique collection called a Stroll in the Park.

Many thanks for looking, hope that you are all having a good Summer, the weather here so far has been a little disappointing, lets hope that it improves.

Take care, Jackie x

Hello Everyone,

Here's hoping that you all had a Happy Easter.

For this month I have made a few shaped cards for a change, which I took to our local St. Oswald's Hospice shop yesterday.

The first three cards were made using Sizzix Thinlits Side Stepper die, which I had to order from Amazon via America, it took a couple of weeks to arrive but was worth the wait, as it is so easy to use and the results are great.

I have decorated the card blank in three different styles so that you can see how different the card looks with various options of decoration.  The black and white one was made using Clare Curd designer paper stack, and the little Kimono girls are from Craftwork Cards, you can colour them in but I thought I would leave them as they were.  The second side stepper was also using Craftwork Cards die cut flowers, sentiment and Candi and lastly Papermania Boofle toppers and papers.

The fourth and fifth card were made with a lovely die from The Paper Boutique range, which is called Best Wishes and Butterfly Kisses set. This is a lovely die to work with  and it  consists of 9 dies, everything that you need to make this card shape.  I just cut out two white pieces of card with the outer die and attached the top of them with some double sided tape and then put a crease line near the top on the back of the card blank with a bone folder so this enables it to stand easier.  Once this is done you can then decorate with the remaining dies in the set.

I loved the way all of the butterfly dies fitted nicely on the main doily die, so that you can do these in different colours.  The papers, card and sentiments were from Paper Boutiques Butterfly Dreams card making kit which is very pretty.  I then finished it off with rhinestones in the centre of the butterflies.

Many thanks for looking and happy crafting, Jackie x

Hello Everyone,

Here are some of my newly made Charity cards for this month.

I have started off with two Easter cards using Hunkydory Little Book of Springtime toppers, the images are lovely and cute, especially the bunnies, lambs etc.

The third card was made using a large cutting die frame from China with a Tattered Lace die cut vase of flowers placed in the middle of the frame and then finished off with a small sentiment tag from Papermania.

Then lastly the two easel cards are made using Crafters Companion Create A Card die set which has a bird cage, but I substituted a bird cage die from The Works.  The die set contains 7 dies to create the easel in whichever way you wish to use it.  The second easel of the two I used a Tattered Lace die of a wreath and birds  and the stand with the leafy edge came from the actual die set to make it more interesting once opened.  The papers came from a large paper pack also from The Works, which came out a few years ago.  The glittered sentiments which I have used as stoppers are also from Papermania.

Many thanks for taking the time to look at my new creations.

Happy Crafting, Jackie x

Hi Everyone,

For this month I would like to share with you my handmade front stepper cards.

I have used the Presscut front stepper die which is so clever, it cuts and also puts in the folds for you.  This die set also includes dies to decorate your cards with and one to make an insert with which is very useful.

My first card was using Forever Friends Kraft Notes 6x6 paper pad, I thought that the patchwork paper looked really pretty with the image.  My next card uses Boofle image and papers, and the next three are using Gorjuss Girls toppers with various papers to match with them.

A little die cut bow and rhinestones finish the cards.

I am really pleased with these cards and love this die, so will be making a lot more of them for the St. Oswald's Hospice shop here in Morpeth.

Thanks for looking Jackie x
