Hello Everyone welcome to this months blog.
I was recently inspired by a patchwork card which a very good friend of mine who lives in Holland had made and decided to have a go.
I cut the squares out of a pretty paper pad which I found in Poundland, using my X-cut scalloped square die. The 'thankyou' sentiment was a free die with a Papercraft Essentials magazine which I thought fitted really well, to finish it off I put on some blue self adhesive gems.
My second attempt was using some pretty papers from LOTV where I made a frame with Spellbinders square die and then cut individual patterned squares with my Crafts-too nesting square die using the smaller one. To finish I used a Papermania glittered diecut sentiment and a small ribbon rose which I had sitting in a drawer for ages always wondering what I could do with these, and then thought this would be a good idea to use on this patchwork card, I am very pleased with the results.
Lastly I have always wanted to make a triple panel card, so I found some pretty Kanban floral card and used my Spellbinders square die again this time measuring out the square into triple panels and cutting out by hand. I then used some pink linen paper from The Works to mount them onto. The gingham ribbon was part of the edging of the floral card which I cut along and then placed at the bottom of the three panels and then finished off with a sentiment.
Thanks for looking and have a nice day,
Jackie x
